Martial arts emphasizes control and discipline, helping kids learn ways to cope with negative emotions.
I don’t want my child getting into fights. Won’t martial arts make them want to fight?
While we teach kids to be more tough and confident, it’s all in the name of self-defense and as a last resort – not as a weapon to attack. By learning self-defense they gain a better understanding of themselves and those around them, which actually promotes more peace for all.
My child is frightened at school – can martial arts make them less afraid?
Yes. Many children who are fearful feel less so after studying martial arts. They have confidence in their ability to defend themselves if they need to and that helps conquer fear.
I AM CONCERNED THAT MY CHILD WILL HURT SOMEONE IF HE/SHE LEARNS TO FIGHT. IS IT WISE?
Children are taught the necessity of discipline and self-control, as well as respect for others and self. Every child who uses Kung Fu techniques to bully or hurt other children, whether within the school or elsewhere, will be disciplined. Additionally, children who are disrespectful to their parents or teachers, or others in authority will be disciplined by the head instructor.
NO FOCUS, CONFIDENCE AND SELF ESTEEM?
No problem. Martial Arts is one of the BEST ways children can learn how to have unshakable, razor sharp focus. Kids are able to pay attention in school, feel better about themselves, maintain eye contact during conversations and feel good about themselves in all aspects of their lives.
As a result, kids stand taller, smile bigger, and perform better. They are overall happier and love who they have become.
